Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our team. As an Infusion Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
Responsibilities- Assess and monitor therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Document all elements of care in the patient record, focusing on accuracy and compliance, and triage patient/family phone calls as needed.
- Evaluate patient/family needs and provide education on cancer treatment and management.
- Maintain efficient and appropriate patient flow while focusing on patient safety.
- Partner with physicians to assist with exams and procedures.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central venous access devices and alternate delivering systems.
- Program portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provide instruction to the patient and/or caregiver in the use of the pump at home.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience and at least one (1) year of infusion therapy experience preferred.
