Position Overview:
The Therapeutic Medical Physicist plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care by delivering medical physics services that meet or exceed state and federal standards, as well as national radiation oncology care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Therapeutic Medical Physicist, you will:
- Oversee the maintenance program for linear accelerators in collaboration with service engineers.
- Manage all aspects of the information technology program related to radiation oncology.
- Contribute to the development of innovative programs and technologies, including information management and treatment planning.
- Assist in the redesign of existing facilities, evaluating shielding designs and clinical treatment programs.
- Provide physics coverage for other radiation oncology locations as directed.
- Support the Administrative and Medical Director in implementing clinical quality management programs.
- Help maintain efficient clinical operations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience in radiation therapy physics.
- A current active State of Florida license as a Therapeutic Medical Physicist.
