- Adhering to the core values of Crunch Fitness: Timeliness, Readiness, Attentiveness, Inspiration, and Nobility.
- Assisting members and clients in achieving their fitness objectives by providing education and guidance on well-rounded fitness programs, which include strength training, cardiovascular workouts, and basic nutritional advice.
- Achieving or surpassing monthly performance benchmarks, which encompass personal training revenue, sales of nutritional products, and overall club success.
- Exclusively training for Crunch Fitness, as engaging in personal training activities outside of this organization is against company policy.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Personal Training Manager, and may also involve collaboration with an Assistant Personal Trainer, Franchise partner, or General Manager, depending on the specific club and market dynamics. This role does not include direct reports.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Personal Trainer is tasked with the following activities within the club:- Client Training [70% of time] Develop an outstanding initial personal training experience for new clients. Create and implement tailored fitness programs that align with clients' goals, including exercise selection, nutritional guidance, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Communicate the available fitness resources to clients to support their goal achievement. Set clear expectations and hold clients accountable through goal setting, regular follow-ups, and progress tracking. Demonstrate safe and effective exercise techniques to clients.
- Member Support [20% of time] Educate members on the proper use of gym equipment and exercise methods. Assist in member service initiatives as requested by club management (e.g., fitness workshops, group classes, body composition assessments, nutritional product demonstrations, etc.). Familiarize oneself with the CAMP CRUNCH Orientation and ensure a positive fitness experience for all members and guests. Help maintain a clean and organized club environment by assisting with equipment management.
- Additional Duties [10% of time] Utilize company-provided tools to design comprehensive fitness programs. Schedule personal training sessions and administrative tasks using company systems. Execute the Trainer Business Plan and perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:- High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
- Relevant certifications such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, or similar are preferred.
Experience:
Previous personal training experience is advantageous but not mandatory.Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical tasks may include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts is expected.
- Extended work hours, including weekends and holidays, may be necessary to support business operations.
