Position Summary: The Production Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing processes within the facility. This position requires a strong leader who can collaborate with various departments to implement and uphold safe operational practices that enhance productivity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all personnel report safety, food safety, and quality concerns to the appropriate authorities.
  2. Uphold high standards of food safety and quality management.
  3. Guide, mentor, and support production staff and operations.
  4. Collaborate with maintenance teams to address equipment challenges and prioritize daily operations.
  5. Communicate production goals and expectations effectively to plant staff.
  6. Oversee the timely setup of processing equipment to meet production targets.
  7. Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  8. Provide regular updates to management regarding departmental performance.
  9. Foster a positive work environment through effective leadership and communication.
  10. Utilize software controls to monitor system performance and provide necessary training.
  11. Promote a culture of safety, striving for a "zero injury" workplace.
  12. Participate in annual reviews of the Food Safety and Quality system.
  13. Analyze and resolve issues promptly, employing group problem-solving techniques.
  14. Encourage teamwork and commitment to achieving organizational goals.
  15. Manage projects effectively, ensuring clear communication and commitment from team members.
  16. Involve team members in decision-making and process improvements.
  17. Maintain professionalism and accountability in all actions.
  18. Lead and enforce compliance with Quality, Food Safety, and GMP policies.
  19. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing complaints and implementing corrective actions.

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Work Schedule: Sunday to Saturday, Day Shift, Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM with potential call-in hours.

Compensation: $24 per hour, paid biweekly via direct deposit.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in dairy or food production.
  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality management systems is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements: The role involves both office and manufacturing environments, requiring the ability to lift up to 55 lbs occasionally and perform tasks in varying temperatures and conditions.
