Position Summary:
The Production Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing processes within the plant. This position is responsible for fostering a culture of safety and efficiency while ensuring compliance with production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all personnel report safety, food safety, and quality concerns to the appropriate authorities.
  2. Oversee food safety and quality assurance measures.
  3. Guide and mentor production staff to enhance operational performance.
  4. Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize machine performance.
  5. Set and communicate production goals to plant staff, ensuring targets are met consistently.
  6. Coordinate equipment setups to align with production schedules.
  7. Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  8. Provide regular updates to management regarding production status.
  9. Build strong relationships with team members to promote effective communication and adherence to company policies.
  10. Utilize software tools to monitor system performance and provide necessary training.
  11. Establish a safety-first culture, motivating staff to adhere to safety protocols.
  12. Participate in the annual review of food safety and quality systems.
  13. Identify and resolve operational issues promptly through effective problem-solving techniques.
  14. Foster a positive team environment to enhance morale and commitment to organizational goals.
  15. Manage projects effectively, ensuring clear communication and resource allocation.
  16. Involve team members in decision-making and process improvements.
  17. Demonstrate respect and accountability in all interactions.
  18. Lead initiatives related to quality and safety, addressing any nonconformities.
  19. Establish and maintain customer relationships, addressing complaints and implementing corrective actions.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Schedule: Sunday to Saturday, Day Shift, with potential call-in hours.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage with biweekly payment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in food production or manufacturing.
  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards is essential.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
