Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide exceptional speech and language services to students in Troutman, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop personalized therapy plans to address the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' educational goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students' communication development.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and therapy sessions.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid North Carolina license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and diverse stakeholders.
Licensure and Certification Requirements
  • Valid North Carolina license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards set by ASHA and the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
