Mortgage Banker Job Description

The Mortgage Banker is a key role in our team, responsible for representing a full range of mortgage financing options. This includes generating mortgage and development loans through targeted business sources, such as individual consumers, real estate brokers, and builders/developers. The successful candidate will maintain an active call schedule to educate business sources about the features and benefits of BOK Mortgage financing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive long-term sales success.
  • Engage with the community to establish meaningful connections with individuals and businesses.
  • Generate business and close loans in a timely manner to ensure a seamless lending process.
  • Analyze clients' financial information to determine loan eligibility and investment potential.
  • Train new real estate agents and brokers on financing, qualifying buyers, and lending guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree and 2-3 years of related mortgage lending experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations (FHA, VA Conventional, FHLMC, FNMA, and private investor).
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and learn complex technical information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • NMLS certification required.

Working Conditions:

The Mortgage Banker will work in an office environment, with occasional travel required. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 20 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
