Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Maintain a positive in-store experience by modeling customer-centric behaviors and responding to customer requests with a high sense of urgency.
    • Ensure customers have a positive experience by maintaining store standards and completing daily tasks related to store cleaning, recovery, and maintenance.
    • Responsible for all activities related to the cashwrap, including promoting the DSW loyalty program and ensuring all associates are providing its benefits to every customer.
    • Meet metric-based goals by reviewing, understanding, and clearly communicating daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
    • Review daily communication, plan and assign tasks, and follow through with required actions.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maximize sales and success by maintaining sales floor and stockroom conditions, enabling the flow of merchandise to create an appealing experience for consumers.
    • Help supervise and participate in the planning and execution of all inventory management-related activities, including freight receipt, placement, markdowns, and merchandise optimization.
    • Assist management with all omni-channel activities in-store, including charge/send, buy-online-pickup-in-store (BOPIS), and delivery.
    • Leverage inventory reports to maximize productivity and merchandise presentation on the sales floor.
    • Ensure a safe environment for customers and associates, with regular equipment checks and maintenance.
    • Maintain supply inventory to support successful floor moves, markdowns, and fulfillment in stockroom, cashwrap, clearance, and non-sales areas.
  • Human Resources
    • Work closely with the store leadership team to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
    • Support the team by training, coaching, and providing feedback to associates, and communicating performance and relations issues to management.
    • Support payroll and associate timekeeping activities.
    • Recognize associates through our company recognition tools.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of retail experience.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professionalism.
