We are seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Instrumentation Specialist to join our team in New Brunswick, NJ.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in developing and manufacturing solid dosage products. As a Pharmaceutical Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory instruments and maintaining compliance with cGMP regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance and calibration schedules for laboratory instruments.
  • Perform instrument calibration and qualification activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Draft and review instrument operation, maintenance, and calibration procedures.
  • Initiate change controls for new and existing instruments and their procedures.
  • Prepare documentation of all raw data and observations.
  • Notify supervisors of any anomalous or out-of-control results.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a pharmaceutical industry laboratory setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV, and more.
  • Practical problem-solving skills for instrumentation troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with lab software and requirements for their qualification/validation.
  • Knowledge of ICH and FDA regulatory guidance.
  • Familiarity with cGMP/GLP practices for analytical laboratories and EHS/OSHA safety regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
