Sensor Technologies (ST) Product Line

ST has established itself as a market leader in the development of Multimodal Sensing technologies. Within ST, the Multi-spectral Equipment (MSE) Technology Area imagines, designs, and develops disruptive multi-modal sensing and response capabilities by fusing advanced EO/IR and RF technologies via novel processing architectures. MSE is seeking senior-level scientists to create the future vision of our integrated Multi-modal Sensing Strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and implement research projects
  • Apply scientific principles and concepts to the development of prototype capabilities
  • Contribute to external publications and/or invention disclosures
  • Contribute to proposals and technical reports

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance and eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Core competency in technical field; RF sensor architectures, EO/IR sensor architectures, digital signal processing, modeling and simulation, operational analysis
  • Integration & test experience, with hardware/software systems, in both lab and field test environments
  • Develops strategic roadmaps, plans, and executes research of complex scope regularly involving multiple technical fields
  • Experience as program principal investigator for medium (5-10 person) research efforts, coordinating technical program performance with leadership and engineering resources
  • Leads external discussions with customers and subcontracting partners
  • Experience in S&T business development process, briefing customers, contributing to proposals, defining technical marketing and internal research and development needs for future initiatives
  • Mentors less experienced staff

Preferred Requirements

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Model based systems engineering experience
  • Supervisory experience with small number of scientists
  • Participates in professional societies
