Position Overview
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Transmission and Distribution Group as an Overhead Transmission Project Engineer. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and guiding our overhead transmission design team on projects that span from 69kV to 500kV. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing technical leadership and direction to the design team.
  • Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills.
  • Acting as the primary technical liaison for clients.
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure project standards.
  • Supporting the development of proposals for new projects.
  • Coordinating project requirements and schedules across various disciplines.
  • Identifying and communicating potential technical risks associated with projects.
  • Overseeing production work to meet critical deliverable milestones.
  • Developing processes and tools to improve team efficiency.
  • Creating and facilitating training programs for team members.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in transmission line design (a master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience).
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering license (PE).
  • Proven ability to lead project teams effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in project scheduling and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software.
  • Experience in consulting or utility sectors is preferred.
This position is a full-time opportunity with travel requirements of approximately 15% of the time.
