As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, valuation, reporting, reconciliation, depreciation, and disposal. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Fixed Asset Process: Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
  • Inventory Management: Utilize prior experience in inventory management to support and streamline inventory-related processes.
  • Cost Accounting and Analysis: Perform cost accounting tasks, including analysis and reporting to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Sales and Use Tax Compliance: Handle sales and use tax, and manage personal property tax responsibilities.
  • Month-End Close Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes related to fixed assets and inventory, including Fixed Assets roll forward.
  • Controls Compliance: Assist with maintaining and enforcing internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile fixed asset and inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Depreciation Projects: Support projects related to depreciation methods and adjustments.
  • Process Automation: Contribute to the automation of fixed asset and inventory processes to improve efficiency.
  • Integration Support: Assist with the integration of Salesforce and NetSuite systems.
  • PO Process Management: Roll out and assist with the purchase order (PO) part of the fixed asset process.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and compliance of policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed assets or inventory management preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • NetSuite Experience: Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Salesforce Experience: Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Power Query, and other financial software tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
