Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid Schedule)

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with a focus on fixed assets to join our team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a balance between in-office and remote work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the fixed assets ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the fixed assets ledger, including additions, disposals, and transfers.

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.

  • Prepare and review depreciation schedules.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports related to fixed assets.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for fixed asset accounting.

  • Support the annual audit process by providing documentation and explanations related to fixed assets.

  • Participate in special projects and process improvements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed assets.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
