Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Machine Operator to interpret job tickets effectively.
  • Assist in the cutting, folding, collating, stitching, and trimming of printed products.
  • Manage the removal and packaging of completed printed items from various finishing equipment.
  • Load stitcher and trimmer pockets, as well as conveyor belts for folders.
  • Perform additional tasks such as skid packing, box making, labeling finished products, and moving materials.
  • Operate power pallet jacks and hand lift trucks safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Engage in manual tasks such as hand collating within the finishing process.
  • Prepare empty skids for the binding and finishing runs.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications

Skills and Competencies

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or office setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and business communications.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Basic math skills for practical problem-solving.
  • Capability to interpret various forms of instructions, including written, oral, and diagrammatic.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Must demonstrate proper body mechanics while pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Near visual acuity is necessary for detailed tasks.
  • Comfortable working around operational equipment.
  • Must navigate various departments within the facility.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high-stress situations.
Work Environment

Employees may occasionally encounter fumes or airborne particles and may be exposed to hazardous materials. Regular interaction with moving mechanical parts is part of the role.
