As a vital member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of designated areas within our facilities. Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Sanitize restrooms and locker rooms, ensuring all surfaces are disinfected and well-maintained.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts, contributing to our sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain the exterior appearance of entryways by polishing and cleaning surfaces within 10 feet of entrances.
- Execute floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction to enhance facility aesthetics.
- Assist with snow and ice removal to ensure safe access to the building.
- Follow directives from the custodial supervisor and collaborate effectively with team members.
Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning role is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including:
- Lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Extensive walking and standing throughout the shift.
- Working in varying temperatures, from hot to cold.
