We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee risk management and patient safety initiatives within our healthcare organization. This role is essential in fostering a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related discipline is required. A clinical degree such as RN, PharmD, RPh, or RRT is essential.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in progressive leadership roles focused on healthcare quality, risk management, and patient safety within an acute care environment.
- Clinical Expertise: Proven experience in clinical risk and patient safety, with at least 5 years as a registered nurse.
- Membership Knowledge: Familiarity with the benefits and guidelines associated with Patient Safety Organizations (PSOs).
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead risk management and patient safety programs, driving transformative changes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong capability to influence various stakeholders, with a systems-thinking approach and adaptability to change.
- Communication Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration.
- Team Dynamics: A reliable team member with proven experience in managing teams effectively.
- Knowledge Base: In-depth understanding of high reliability principles, performance improvement strategies, safety science, risk management practices, data analytics, accreditation standards, proactive risk assessment, safety culture evaluations, and simulation techniques.
This is a full-time opportunity, primarily during the day shift. The compensation for this role is competitive, reflecting the importance of patient safety and risk management in our organization.
