- Utilize catalogs, microfiche viewers, or computer systems to locate replacement part stock numbers and pricing.
- Process customer orders from inventory.
- Prepare sales documentation accurately.
- Handle payments and secure credit approvals.
- Recommend alternative parts or modifications when specific replacements are unavailable.
- Assess returned items to determine defects and facilitate exchanges or refunds.
- Organize and store parts in the stockroom according to a systematic approach.
- Manage telephone orders for parts efficiently.
- Conduct inventory checks regularly.
- Establish pricing levels for customers based on potential order volume.
- Assist walk-in customers in selecting appropriate parts, suggest complementary items, and promote current specials.
- Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor while interacting with customers, both in person and over the phone.
- Be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Participate in available training programs to enhance skills.
