Vice President of Insurance Risk Oversight

The Vice President of Insurance Risk Oversight is tasked with ensuring the protection and integrity of personnel, resources, and operational procedures within the organization. This position entails the formulation and execution of risk management strategies, modifying policies to comply with legal requirements and industry benchmarks, and acting as a key point of contact for legal experts, insurance companies, and other relevant parties. Furthermore, the Vice President supervises various divisions, including Safety, Security, Claims, Cyber Risk, and Insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce risk management strategies to minimize potential risks to the organization's reputation and operational continuity.
  • Perform comprehensive risk evaluations and assess pertinent data and market dynamics.
  • Innovate risk management solutions and revise current policies to bolster safety and security protocols.
  • Establish departmental objectives and strategies to enhance performance.
  • Oversee operations in Safety, Security, Claims, Cyber Risk, and Insurance.
  • Engage with legal advisors, insurers, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Examine incidents that could result in asset depletion.
  • Compile detailed risk assessments and recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Provide training to staff on risk awareness and management practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in program management.
  • At least five years of demonstrated leadership experience.
  • In-depth understanding of risk management principles and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of legal considerations related to liability and insurance trends.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving capabilities.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid Texas Class C driver's license.
  • Clean driving record for the past three years.
