Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to join our team at Mindlance. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and administering all information technology related network infrastructure. This includes data center, network, data, voice, and telephony infrastructure. You will provide support on these systems and respond to outages within established SLAs.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in specialized network technologies and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be contactable on mobile phone and will support monthly Saturday maintenance and off-hours software deployments when a timed network change is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and implement new infrastructure, including data center, wireless and wired network, data, load balancing, voice, telephony, wiring, and UPS. Ensure availability and maintenance of disaster recovery stance.
  • Maintain network and systems by managing product and capabilities roadmaps, establishing maintenance procedures, and working with Security team to ensure network compliance.
  • Perform infrastructure monitoring, setting up and monitoring alerts, events, notifications, and reports on network and environment, and working with Systems Administrators to guide proactive monitoring.
  • Respond to tier 2 service desk tickets and production outages to SLA and procedure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in Routing and Switching, IP Telephony, Firewall Maintenance, Load balancers, Linux or Windows OS, MS networking, Storage, Virtualized environments, Network and System Monitoring, and Scripting.

Preferred Experience:

  • Wireless Network technology, especially Cisco, and especially where management controllers are deployed.
  • Cisco phone systems.
  • Cisco UCS.
  • Network Security.
  • Implementing QoS initiatives to support video and voice communications.
  • Implementing and supporting BGP.
  • Firewall administration and configuration with sophisticated understanding of ports, protocols, and routing and switching in a firewalled, wide-area network.
  • Client.
  • Microsoft Active Directory - experience with design, migrations, use of elements like group policies.
  • Understanding of communications/telecommunications circuits.
  • Building and maintaining networks to meet compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other certifications, standards, and guidance.
