Position Overview:

The Accountant Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records within the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account data.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, including accounts receivable and payable.
  • Facilitate and enhance the interaction between Accounts Receivable software and customer service representatives, ensuring accurate transaction recording.
  • Assist in the preparation of essential financial documents, including the Board of Directors' Financial Package, Annual External Audit, Annual Budget, and Monthly Account Reconciliations.
  • Engage in job-specific training and comply with corporate training programs as required.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations along with established corporate policies and procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Two to three years of relevant accounting experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in general ledger management, month-end closing processes, account analysis, and reconciliation is necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities, are crucial.
  • Problem-solving skills and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively are essential for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Ability to maintain focus and concentration while working at a computer for extended periods in a dynamic environment.
  • Occasional lifting of boxes weighing between 10 to 25 pounds may be necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in account reconciliations and account analysis is highly regarded.
