Physician (Primary Care)

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting clinical examinations, and developing treatment plans for a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care services to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to determine the best course of treatment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences, medical history, and current health status.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate patient care services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Completion of a residency program in a primary care specialty, such as internal medicine, family medicine, or pediatrics.
- Board certification in a primary care specialty is preferred.
This position requires a high level of physical and mental stamina, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Physician will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide high-quality care.
