Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional Support Specialist to join our team at Blazer Jobs. This role will involve working closely with teachers and other educational professionals to assist students with special needs in achieving their academic and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualized support to students with special needs, as directed by the supervising teacher.
  2. Assist students with classroom assignments, activities, and projects, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  3. Implement behavior management strategies to support student engagement and participation.
  4. Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  5. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
  6. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, as required by school policies.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or completion of a paraprofessional training program preferred.
  2. Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  3. Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
