About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at Exide Technologies, a leading manufacturer of lead batteries. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment at our battery recycling facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, using advanced troubleshooting techniques and tools.
  • Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of the facility.
  • Develop and implement electrical maintenance plans, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; journeyman's card or 2-year technical degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in a lead battery recycling or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including 480V three-phase, control power, and MA signals.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and control systems.
  • Ability to work at heights, lift 50 pounds, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
