Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prepared Foods Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market - Johns Creek. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Delegate Tasks: Supervise and delegate tasks to prepared foods team members, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Work with the prepared foods trainer to train team members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
  • Assist with Training and Onboarding: Assist in training of new team members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Department: Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated.
  • Ensure Excellent Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct team members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; respond promptly to customer needs and questions.
  • Lead by Example: Foster and encourage a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Ensure that all necessary inventory and supplies are maintained and that the department is well-stocked at all times.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate team concerns to the team leader and associate team leader, and ensure that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
Requirements
  • 12+ Months Retail Experience: Must have at least 12 months of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, customers, and management.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: Must have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Working Conditions

The Prepared Foods Department Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent exposure to customers, team members, and management. The position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of temperatures. The position also requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
