Position Overview:

The Transport Specialist is tasked with the safe collection and delivery of components and materials to designated sites. A strong alignment with the company's mission and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Holds a valid Class A license in the State of Colorado.
  • Conducts deliveries using a Class A vehicle and a 52' flatbed trailer.
  • Utilizes a Piggyback type trailer-mounted lift for unloading materials.
  • Documents all materials collected from the factory on delivery tickets and ensures they reach the job sites.
  • Records all deliveries in accordance with company policy, capturing and uploading photos of delivered materials to BisTrack.
  • Ensures proper storage, transportation, and handling of all materials to prevent damage.
  • Adheres to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Limits time spent on-site to no more than one hour, notifying supervisors if additional time is required.
  • Commits to quality improvement processes and actively responds to customer needs; participates as a team player across all organizational phases; remains open to change.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Follows all DOT regulations.
  • Secures loads effectively.
  • Adheres to all state guidelines and protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the reasonable scope of role responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with common building materials used in residential, multi-family, and commercial construction.
  • Possession of a valid CLASS A commercial driver's license and current medical card with a clean driving record.
  • Attention to detail and pride in the quality of work.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Effective communication with team members.
  • A minimum of 12 consecutive months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 36 months.
  • Drivers with less than twelve months but more than six consecutive months of verifiable oversized and/or mobile home hauling experience may be considered, subject to approval by the VP of Transportation and completion of an extended on-the-job training period directed by the Safety Manager.
