POSITION SUMMARY
As a CDL Class B/Class C Transportation Specialist, you will be integral to our logistics and transportation operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safe Operation: Operate and maintain commercial vehicles, primarily Class B/Class C trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Loading and Unloading: Ensure safe loading and unloading of products, securing them properly during transit.
- Route Planning: Strategically plan and execute delivery routes, considering traffic, weather, and other factors.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, including bills of lading and mileage logs.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service by interacting professionally with clients and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, including hours of service and weight restrictions.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and logistics teams, providing updates on delivery status.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Valid CDL Class B or Class C license required. Experience in short-haul driving preferred. A clean driving record with a proven safety track record is essential. Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience. Knowledge of DOT regulations is necessary. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are vital, along with physical fitness for loading and unloading tasks. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
CDL Class B/Class C drivers spend significant time on the road, making deliveries to various locations, including urban and rural areas. Drivers must be prepared for different weather conditions and may engage in physically demanding tasks.
