As a Vascular Imaging Specialist at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper, you will work in concert with radiologists and other specialists to obtain high-quality ultrasound images and provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
- Explain procedures and post-procedure orders to patients to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
- Prioritize workflow based on patient condition and ensure timely arrival and departure.
- Provide a conducive atmosphere for patient cooperation and confidence.
- Utilize patient satisfaction and practice performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and participate in planning and improvement processes.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 4 years of experience preferred.
- ARRT RT(S), ARDMS, or CCI certification or board eligibility required.
- RVT, RVS required.
The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are necessary. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. May be exposed to radiation.
