Job Title: Finance Specialist

Job Summary:

The Finance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) for residents under Nanmckay's property listings. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential errors and duplicate payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze HAP to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Develop a working understanding of the current legacy system and other systems to identify potential errors and duplicate payments
  • Collaborate with the Operations Department to resolve issues with ledger reporting and account interpretation
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local Housing Authority Administrative Plan, HUD regulations, and other state and local requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience with Public Housing/Housing Choice Voucher program and financial systems preferred
  • Self-motivated and focused individual with excellent organizational skills
  • Four-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
