Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a professional leader in assessing, planning, guiding, and evaluating patient care.
  • Interact with management, physicians, and field staff utilizing a teamwork approach to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Assist with training and evaluation of all team clinical personnel to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Maintain and develop the clinical record to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Hospice certification preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of recent hospice, oncology, medical/surgical, or home health, public/health, geriatric care experience.
  • Expertise in support skills, palliative care, and educational techniques.
  • Basic computer skills and EMR software experience a plus.
  • Demonstrates organizational, administrative, and personnel management skills.

Hospice Nursing Skills:

  • Case management.
  • Crisis intervention.
  • Communication skills.
  • Teaching skills.
  • Thanatology skills.
  • Needs assessment.

Language Skills:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
