We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager for an Emergency Room position at a leading medical center in south Florida. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency within the Emergency Department. The Assistant Nurse Manager will report directly to the Emergency Room Nurse Manager. This position involves close collaboration with other nursing staff, physicians, and administrative personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the Emergency Department.

The Emergency Room at our medical center is a fast-paced, high-intensity environment where care is provided to patients experiencing a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit is equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by a team of skilled professionals dedicated to delivering urgent and emergency care. The Assistant Nurse Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring quality care delivery.

In the role of Assistant Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Emergency Room, including overseeing nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols. You will assist in developing and implementing departmental policies, participate in staff training and development, and handle administrative duties such as scheduling and performance evaluations. Additionally, you will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and address any issues that arise in the unit.

Requirements

  • Current RN license.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in emergency nursing with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role will earn a quick interview.
  • Strong clinical and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of emergency department protocols and procedures.
