Job Overview:
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms to ensure guest satisfaction and optimize revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Retrieve supplies from storage and prepare cleaning carts, ensuring they are organized and well-maintained.
2. Clean and sanitize windows, doors, walls, and fixtures in guest rooms and public areas, using ladders or stools as necessary.
3. Replace towels, soaps, and amenities, ensuring all supplies are adequately stocked for incoming guests.
4. Hand wash hard floor surfaces to remove dirt and maintain cleanliness.
5. Dust and polish furniture and fixtures, including hard-to-reach areas like vents and ceiling corners.
6. Strip and remake beds with fresh linens, checking for cleanliness of all bedding items.
7. Inspect closets for cleanliness and restock guest supplies as needed.
8. Vacuum all areas, including moving furniture to ensure thorough cleaning.
9. Check the functionality of door and window locks, reporting any safety concerns to management.
10. Inspect room equipment to ensure proper operation and report any maintenance issues promptly.
11. Secure and maintain custody of cleaning equipment and supplies.
12. Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education: No formal education required.
Experience: No prior experience necessary.
Skills: Basic knowledge of cleaning principles and products, ability to follow instructions, and effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, maneuver cleaning carts, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Work Environment:
Engage in physically demanding activities in a climate-controlled environment, with exposure to heat and humidity in laundry areas.
