Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Facilities Technician to work closely with our Facilities Manager to take care of our tiny cabins and the land they live on. As a Facilities Technician, you will have a direct impact on the success of Getaway House Inc and help create memorable moments in nature for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring cabin maintenance repairs and glitches are handled immediately.
  • Perform periodic preventative maintenance on cabins, including cabin integrity, woodwork, plumbing, electrical fixtures, and interior/exterior equipment.
  • Perform periodic landscaping maintenance on both the Outpost and Residential grounds.
  • Ensure every cabin is perfectly staged for every guest by cleaning and staging the interior and exterior of the cabin.
  • Be willing to do any job that is needed by your team and work together to achieve our mission.
  • Create and execute ideas to surprise and delight guests and make every interaction personal, meaningful, and memorable.
  • Solve problems proactively in an efficient, effective, and professional manner.
  • Test new ideas, measure the results, and embrace honest feedback to improve day-to-day operations.
  • Operate with integrity and sound judgment, respect your team and our guests, and hold yourself accountable.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and Getaway House Inc values.
  • Adhere to Getaway House Inc safety policies at all times to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Experienced in light carpentry, household electric, plumbing, construction, flooring, custodial, and groundskeeping service trades (1+ year).
  • Experienced in utilizing technology and apps to work more efficiently.
  • A lover of the outdoors and happy to work outside during all seasonal weather conditions.
  • 18 years of age, or older.
