Position Overview

This role is classified as non-exempt and reports to the Kitchen Manager.

As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service by preparing high-quality meals promptly. Your responsibilities will include receiving and organizing inventory, cooking and assembling orders, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and adhering to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay informed about current promotions and menu offerings.
  • Represent the Cairo Chicken brand with enthusiasm.
  • Assist in guest service and front-of-house operations.
  • Prepare menu items following company standards in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain adequate product levels in designated stations.
  • Accurately assemble and package orders for guests.
  • Keep the kitchen environment clean and organized.

Duties:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Assist with inventory management and storage.
  • Receive and stock deliveries of inventory.
  • Store food items according to safety guidelines.
  • Notify management when inventory is low.
  • Organize storage areas effectively.
  • Complete all tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Availability to work 15-20 hours per week.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional bending, crouching, or climbing.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous use of hands for various tasks.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Safe operation of kitchen equipment.
