This role involves directing the installation, upkeep, and repair of aquatic systems, ensuring they meet all necessary quality benchmarks for optimal performance and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership to team members, including recruiting, hiring, training, and maintaining adequate staffing levels for the department.
- Perform supervisory duties such as conflict resolution, coaching, and fostering teamwork while managing performance.
- Supervise the execution of all waterpark property and equipment repairs, along with preventative maintenance, while monitoring life safety systems.
- Ensure departmental operations comply with corporate and brand standards, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Delegate and perform maintenance and repair tasks on waterpark equipment as necessary.
- Possess a strong understanding of pool chemistry and general pool maintenance practices.
- Complete and maintain certification training in Aquatic Facility Operator and/or Certified Pool Operator programs.
- Execute tasks efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Utilize safe chemical handling practices in accordance with MSDS guidelines and GWR standards, as well as OSHA, EPA, Green Seal, and other relevant laws.
- Plan and successfully execute annual shutdowns in collaboration with the Aquatics Director, Director of Engineering, Lodge General Manager, and relevant contractors.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with corporate, industry, and governmental standards.
- Schedule staff effectively to ensure operational excellence while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Enforce procedures that safeguard inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, and furnishings.
- Monitor supplies and inventory efficiently to minimize waste and ensure readiness for the next operational shift.
- Prioritize work order volume and assign tasks to team members as needed.
- Inspect maintenance staff assignments to confirm timely and specification-compliant completion.
- Manage shift operations, including staff scheduling, training, and coaching.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent education/experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in general maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or waterpark maintenance.
- Proficient knowledge of chemicals, tools, equipment, and supplies utilized in comprehensive building and waterpark maintenance services.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Availability to work flexible hours and varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in resort maintenance.
- Expertise in hands-on equipment maintenance.
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor programs that comply with all relevant regulations, including Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Injury and Illness Prevention, and Hazard Communications.

Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Able to bend, stretch, and twist.
- Capacity to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Able to climb multiple flights of stairs daily and walk frequently.
