Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Progressive Vision Institute. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and complete patient assessments to provide supportive care before, during, and after procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide a safe environment for patients, preventing potential injuries and reporting any issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
  • Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment, including patient monitoring systems.
  • Anticipate and assist with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and medications.
  • Administer medications and other therapeutic measures in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to administering sedation.
  • Provide guidance and support to other staff members, including orientation and training.
  • Consult with supervisors and physicians as needed to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in educational opportunities and staff meetings to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Adhere to established routines and protocols, and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of our facility.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Current license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing to practice as a practical nurse.
  • Experience in operating room settings is preferred.
  • Current BCLS certification is mandatory.
  • Membership in local, state, and national nursing societies is preferred.
