SECTION I - POSITION SUMMARY


Under the guidance of the Program Director or designated representative, the Program Coordination Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the planning and execution of initiatives related to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD). This position involves developing and delivering presentations and training sessions, managing communication efforts with stakeholders, monitoring program progress, organizing outreach events, and fostering community partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Document all hours worked accurately.
  2. Assist the Program Director in the planning and coordination of ADRD initiatives.
  3. Support the creation and execution of educational presentations and outreach activities.
  4. Manage both internal and external communications with community partners.
  5. Collaborate with the Program Evaluator to track program development.
  6. Schedule outreach events, training sessions, and presentations with community stakeholders.
  7. Coordinate and arrange meetings for the ADRD coalition.
  8. Record and maintain minutes for coalition meetings.
  9. Distribute meeting recordings and minutes to coalition members.
  10. Assist in the formulation and execution of program strategies, policies, and procedures to meet established goals.
  11. Help collect and organize data necessary for program planning and reporting.
  12. Contribute to the compilation of information for grant-related reports.
  13. Maintain records of program activities, including outreach events and training sessions.
  14. Participate in strategic planning, community assessments, and health improvement initiatives.
  15. Engage in ongoing evaluation of the program to ensure compliance with agency standards and funding requirements.
  16. Collaborate with local, state, and regional agencies on program coordination.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

SECTION II - QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field, along with relevant experience in project coordination.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Proficient in planning and programming methodologies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to converse in Spanish. Capable of interpreting public health regulations and analyzing community health needs. Experience in training and supervising staff. Familiarity with software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality of client information.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

A valid Texas Driver's License is required, along with compliance with Texas driving laws and maintenance of a satisfactory driving record. Reliable transportation is necessary. Employees may be required to work during emergencies or natural disasters, including weekends and extended hours. A criminal background check is mandatory for employment.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must maintain good health and physical condition to perform the duties of the position effectively. If assistance is needed, it should be requested prior to undertaking tasks.

Work primarily takes place in a clinic, office, or community center setting.
