Job Summary:

The College of Public Health seeks a talented Associate Dean for Faculty and Staff Advancement to drive the strategic growth and development of its academic and professional community. This key leadership position will oversee personnel-related activities, provide expertise in personnel development and management, and facilitate a culture of community and belonging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advance an impactful vision for faculty and staff advancement by developing, communicating, and assessing the creative vision for CPH's faculty and staff support endeavors.
  • Engage with partners to establish a culture of mutual accountability and recognition by addressing faculty and staff issues and concerns, partnering with CPH and UK Marketing/Public Relations teams, and coordinating the college-level faculty orientation, welcome, and review/promotion processes.
  • Develop a dynamic faculty and staff workforce by serving as a liaison between CPH and UK Office for Faculty Advancement, developing strategies to promote retaining and recruiting faculty and staff, and providing leadership related to personnel matters.
  • Foster a network of supportive resources by serving as an advocate for faculty and staff, providing consultation to supervisors, and ensuring faculty and staff awareness of institutional policies and procedures.
