As a Senior Buyer at SCOPE Recruiting, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement operations for essential production components. Your expertise will ensure that our procurement processes align with both customer expectations and corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Procurement Analysis: Leverage the MRP system to assess procurement needs and guarantee the timely acquisition of necessary production components.
- Purchasing Management: Supervise the procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services, ensuring adherence to specifications while optimizing cost efficiency.
- Cost Negotiation: Perform thorough cost analysis and negotiate contracts to obtain the best quality, pricing, and delivery conditions.
- Supplier Evaluation: Identify and assess suppliers, maintaining oversight on quality and punctuality of deliveries.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various departments including Planning, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Finance to ensure seamless operations.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research and analysis of market trends to enhance purchasing strategies.
- Compliance Assurance: Maintain accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all procurement activities.
- Issue Management: Proactively address and resolve any challenges related to supplier materials and deliveries.
- Non-Conformance Handling: Efficiently manage non-conforming materials to avoid production delays.
- Invoicing Coordination: Serve as a liaison between suppliers and the Accounts Payable team to resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other responsibilities or projects as directed by management.
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a purchasing role within the manufacturing sector is essential.
- Skills: Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and familiarity with Aerospace and Military standards is advantageous.
