We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Howmet Aerospace in Torrance, CA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes that meet our high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes that meet internal and external specifications, standards, and cost targets.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production personnel to determine the most efficient method of manufacturing products, considering cost, machine capability, and machine skill availability.
• Perform time studies and apply those studies to update machine and labor standards.
• Ensure that manufacturing processes result in products that meet internal and customer quality requirements.
• Support the PRB function to identify and eliminate root cause issues.
• Provide support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production.
• Analyze data to reduce downtime and outages.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities.
• Maintain effective communication and provide training and guidance to team members to accomplish production goals.
• Provide daily management leadership and guidance for employees and ensure that Environmental Health & Safety compliance, Quality, delivery, and productivity expectations are met.
Requirements
• Minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience and three (3) years of supervisor experience.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with an engineering discipline.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
