Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory in the meat department, utilizing inventory control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of associates responsible for stocking, production, and additional tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date-sensitive rotation.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the meat department as well as throughout the store.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive excellent service and that all customer inquiries are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Operations: Assist in maintaining a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure that all food safety guidelines and requirements are followed and maintained throughout the entire store.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement a plan to meet company goals and key performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
  • Experience: Two years of retail experience preferred, with one year of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, bookkeeping, and leadership skills.
  • Physical Demands: May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
