About the Role:
This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the meat department in a retail store. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the department is fully staffed, operating at company standards, and meeting all company goals and key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory in the meat department, utilizing inventory control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality.
- Team Management: Manage a team of associates responsible for stocking, production, and additional tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date-sensitive rotation.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the meat department as well as throughout the store.
- Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive excellent service and that all customer inquiries are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
- Store Operations: Assist in maintaining a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
- Safety and Security: Ensure that all food safety guidelines and requirements are followed and maintained throughout the entire store.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement a plan to meet company goals and key performance indicators.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
- Experience: Two years of retail experience preferred, with one year of supervisory experience.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, bookkeeping, and leadership skills.
- Physical Demands: May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
