Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the North Texas VA Health Care System. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct patient education and health promotion activities to support patient self-management and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Experience as an RN will be evaluated to determine if the experience is of an acceptable level of quality with regard to the following four dimensions of nursing: Practice, Professional Development, Collaboration and Scientific Inquiry.
