We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist II to join our team at AdventHealth ER located in Oviedo. As a CT Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures, operating imaging equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all exams, including the most difficult, using Facility CT protocols.
- Complete all exams in a timely manner, keeping workflow moving, and minimizing empty table time.
- Operate all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors.
- Properly screen patients of childbearing age and minimize radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers.
- Practice infection control standards and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field.
- One year CT experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completion of Radiologic Technology training and A.R.R.T.(R) registration.
- General Radiographer state license as required by state if applicable.
- ARRT - CT.
- BS in a healthcare-related discipline.
- Two years hospital-based clinical Radiology experience.
- General computer skills and PACS.
- Basic IV competency.
- General physics and anatomy.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of CT procedures.
- Knowledge of CT scanners.
- Ability to learn and grow with new technology.
- Customer Service skills.
- CT safety, including radiation safety for patients, families, and co-workers.
- Knowledge of workstations.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
