Job Summary

Gandy's is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including lubricating, cleaning, and material handling systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and service manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Support the installation of new equipment and assist operators with training and troubleshooting.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
  • Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees to ensure efficient production.
  • Document all repairs and complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.
  • Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from trade school or technical school preferred in areas such as electrical, mechanical, welding, or refrigeration.
  • 2-4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with a variety of equipment, including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, and process control systems.
  • Knowledge of charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, and wiring diagrams.
  • Able to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and take corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment downtime.
  • Able to use a variety of maintenance tools, hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
