Key Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Assemble structural components, including steel frames, columns, and beams.
• Unload and position prefabricated steel units for hoisting as required.
• Utilize cranes and signaling equipment to hoist and position structural steel elements.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel components using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Align structural members for permanent bolting.
• Install metal sheeting for walls and roofs.
• Dismantle existing structures or equipment as needed.
• Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.
• Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers safely.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing steel structures.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.

Qualifications

• Punctuality and readiness to work at scheduled times.
• Consistent attendance for 8-10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
• Strong knowledge of steel structures and metal building assembly.
• Proficient in the use of scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers.
• Understanding of rigging and material lifting techniques.
• Awareness of construction risks and safety mitigation strategies.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Positive attitude towards project challenges.
• Effective time management and decision-making skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure.

• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
