Public Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Safety Officer to join our team at Black Oak Casino Resort. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and report on safety and security incidents, including thefts, injuries, and property damage.
- Patrol the casino property to prevent and respond to security threats.
- Communicate effectively with guests and employees using a two-way radio and other communication tools.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on security procedures and protocols.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards, and take steps to mitigate and resolve them.
- Ensure the safe transportation of casino monies and gaming assets.
- Interact with guests and employees in a positive and professional manner, even in difficult situations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of resort departments, areas, and facilities, as well as special events and promotions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Military experience preferred.
- Must be a trained and Certified Professional Collector (CPC) within the introductory period.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents, including identification cards, safety rules, and operation and maintenance instructions.
- Must be familiar with Public Safety Department Policies and Procedures, the Emergency Action Plan, and have passed the training program within the introductory period.
- Ability to write and type reports, documents, and correspondence.
- Must be able to communicate using a portable 2-way radio and/or cell phone.
- Must possess working knowledge of computer programs and applications.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
- Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
This is a full-time position that requires working in a non-smoke-free environment, with potential exposure to infectious disease. You must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
