Position Summary
This role is primarily responsible for the collection and delivery of mail and packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Organizes materials for daily delivery.
- Picks up and delivers items to various designated locations.
- Handles confidential information and/or high-value documents/items, including cash.
- Performs tasks assigned by the relevant manager, including the breakdown and processing of incoming and outgoing mail and parcels.
- Compiles reports and records necessary for daily operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing with an acceptable driving record.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to perform work in a professional and courteous manner according to employer's standards.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external customers, community leaders, and client families.
- Maintains a positive attitude and work environment through organization and communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment.
Supervisory Role
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Outdoor duties may involve exposure to natural elements such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, uneven terrain, dust, gas, and/or fumes.
- Employees in this role are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift up to 75 pounds, with the potential to lift up to 100 pounds.
- This position may also require reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Exposure to chemicals and/or bloodborne pathogens is considered low risk.
- Overtime may occasionally be necessary or required.
Travel Requirements
- This position does not require out-of-area or overnight travel.
- Travel is primarily local and occurs during business hours only.
