Job Title: Delivery Driver

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Delivery Driver to join our team at Nicklas Supply. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering materials and equipment to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and transport materials from trucks to storage areas
  • Pack and unpack items for stocking
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner
  • Inspect and count stock items
  • Issue or distribute materials to customers or coworkers
  • Aid or direct other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas
  • Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location
  • Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents
  • Operate forklifts and manual jacks safely
  • Accurately prepare orders for delivery and properly load materials into delivery trucks
  • Ensure a clean and orderly workplace
  • Ability to utilize inventory bar code equipment
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
  • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
  • Safely load and unload trucks
  • Deliver materials and/or equipment to specified locations
  • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment
  • Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded
  • Report delays, accidents, traffic, and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles
  • Use and maintain tools or equipment found on commercial vehicles
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment, including delivery vehicles
  • Adhere to all OSHA guidelines and NSI Safety policies

Working Conditions:

Monday - Friday
