Position Overview

Peraton is in search of a dedicated Senior Communications Engineer specializing in Audio Visual and Technology Infrastructure to provide critical support for classified networks utilized by high-level government officials. This role is essential for maintaining and operating advanced technical systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Communications Engineer will undertake the following tasks:
  • Deliver Tier 2 support for troubleshooting, system repairs, and vendor coordination as necessary; provide Tier 3 support for system reprogramming when required.
  • Oversee technical issues, manage change requests, and customize user interfaces, including hardware upgrades and software patching for the ThinkLogical AV/IT system and its associated devices.
  • Administer ThinkLogical servers, transmitters, receivers, and software applications.
  • Supervise Crestron frames, touch panels, and user interfaces.
  • Manage the Conference Room and Watch Floor setups, which include:
    • Monitors
    • Speakers
    • Microphones
    • Wall Clocks
    • Mounted display boards and clocks
    • Non-networked hardware related to the AV System


Support Requirements

Support for this role will be available 24/7, shared among the AV/IT team.

On-Site Commitment

This position requires full on-site presence during the workweek.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics with eight (8) years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with six (6) years; or a PhD with three (3) years. Relevant experience may substitute for educational qualifications.
  • Possession of a valid/current Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Experience with the ThinkLogical AV/IT System is required.
  • Background in Network Engineering is essential.
  • Proven experience in Audio Visual and Information Technology is necessary.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics with twelve (12) years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with ten (10) years; or a PhD with over ten (10) years of experience.
