Responsibilities:
This role involves electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair for production and support equipment. Adherence to safe work practices and maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism is essential. The position operates under general supervision and typically involves complex projects requiring innovative thinking and action. General guidance is provided for unusual or new assignments; the individual will work independently on most tasks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Additional tasks may be assigned.
Adheres to all company policies regarding safety, quality, and attendance.
Performs tasks safely and reports any observed safety hazards to management, taking proactive measures to rectify these conditions.
Proactively diagnoses, repairs, and resolves mechanical, electrical, and process issues to ensure the functionality of production equipment.Assists in troubleshooting using PLC logic as a resource.
Supports the troubleshooting and repair of electrical failures in AC/DC drives and inverters, including programming and startup configuration/tuning.
Contributes to the design of electrical circuits for existing equipment for upgrades related to equipment and safety.
Assists in the design and installation of electromechanical upgrades to existing equipment, including DC to AC transitions and PLC installations to replace discrete controls.
Utilizes meters, power supplies, service monitors, and test fixtures, demonstrating an understanding of their functions.
Maintains familiarity with all plant operating systems and can access records of diagrams and schematics.
Collaborates with contractors for the repair, installation, removal, and/or upgrade of equipment.
Provides 24/7 technical support for production.
Regularly inspects production lines and support equipment, performing necessary repairs and upgrades during preventative maintenance cycles.
Operates hand tools and small power tools, including cutting small parts.
Leads the assembly, installation, disassembly, and demolition of production and building support equipment as required for upgrades or new installations.
Maintains a clean and organized work area, meeting plant and departmental housekeeping standards. May be assigned additional housekeeping responsibilities as needed to uphold a tidy workspace.
Maintains the building and grounds.
Participates in employee-driven teams to address issues related to scrap, quality, safety, or other production-related concerns.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

A High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
In addition to educational requirements, a minimum of 2 years of work experience in manufacturing maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, is preferred. Experience with blown film manufacturing and converting equipment is advantageous.
