We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician to join our team at Los Angeles Christian Health Centers on a per diem basis. As a Pediatrician, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services to pediatric patients, assessing their needs and prescribing treatment as necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Perform evaluations and treatments of pediatric patients in the outpatient setting
- Assess medical needs and compile care plans, addressing acute needs, chronic conditions, and preventive health maintenance
- Furnish and transmit appropriate medications and treatments
- Perform in-office procedures, such as incision and drainage, catheterization for urinalysis, and skin biopsy
- Keep accurate and thorough documentation of medical history, exam findings, assessment, treatment, and education
- Review and electronically sign off on laboratory results, diagnostic results, and outside consult notes in a timely manner
- Initiate and follow through on specialist referrals and e-consults, communicating with specialist providers as necessary
- Serve as the primary care physician or provider for a panel of patients, working with a care team to provide patient-centered medical home services
- Licensed to practice medicine in California, as a physician or as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- BC/BE Pediatrics, or Med-Peds
- At least 500 hours of pediatric experience in an outpatient or inpatient setting with pediatric patients
- Provider BLS certification (includes CPR certification)
